I am just really excited that summer seems to be on its way. Of course we had snow in May last year so I might be wrong, but I'm just holding on tightly to the fact that we had sun today.

Sometimes I give an assignment and I give two weeks to get it done, with clear instructions, and all my expectations laid out... and I receive something back that looks like this (that is a random search I did for "really bad homework", it's not an actual assignment that anyone I have ever taught has handed in - close, but not quite).  

Then there are days when you can tell they put so much effort into their work, and I am extremely proud of them.  Today is one of those days.

Radio Gaga

I have been trying to photograph the black and purple bruise that is currently residing on my knuckles (I have no idea what I did - I do tend to talk with my hands so it's likely that I smacked it somewhere in my travels) but they all just came out blurry. 

I'm sure you're relieved that instead, I am posting this overly Picnik'd photo of our stereo system. CD, radio, LP, baby. That's how we roll.

At some point in the very near future, scraping the car windows will no longer be a part of my daily routine.  That's what I think, anyway.

Oh glory glory

It's been very, very grey around here lately. No snow, but rain, or just cloudy. It was glorious to see the sun yesterday morning. Photos taken in the parking lot at work (I know I post a lot of pics I take either at work, or on the way to/from there... that's life). Sunshine go away today

Last week at this time, we had two days' worth of snowstorms. Today, it was 10C, which is melting the six feet of snow faster than you could say Jack Robinson. FASTER THAN THAT! There's still ice on the harbour, so the warm weather is making plenty of fog.

Tiny Happy Turtle lives on my desk. Tiny Happy Turtle likes to lend a helping hand (flipper? foot? fin?). Try not to notice the filthy keyboard. Clearly I need to bring a can of compressed air to work at some point.

Woke up early. About 5:20, 5:30. Don't know why. Decided since I couldn't get back to sleep I'd mark some papers. After awhile, decided that this was going to be my photoblog post o the day. Aren't you lucky?
